Credentialed educational diagnosticians, licensed specialists in school psychology, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and certified teachers are available for schools experiencing unexpected workload or staff shortages.
Contractors are carefully screened and chosen according to a high set of standards. Credentials are verified and references are checked. State and national criminal history background checks are conducted for all contractors. Schools may interview prospective contract service providers via phone or in person.
School psychological services, as defined by
22 TAC 465.38(3), are provided by Licensed Specialists in School Psychology in the public schools.
